Well, I had every intent on going to the DeKalb CO. lake and doing a little bit of fishing yesterday afternoon. Turns out I done a bunch of trolling around the lake looking for fish...

Water temps in the 125ac lake were 73 deg consistantly I was figuring on a top-water bite towards the eve. but it never panned out. I wish I would have brought my ultra-light!!!! Pan-fish were hitting everything but the top water. I had several hit the plastics I was using, and tearing the tails off.emoEnforce

This lake puts out a big pig every so often, but the big fish are always caught on live bait...mostly night crawlers.

I was hoping to catch the fish spawning, but the water was too stained to see any beds at all. It is usually pretty clear, but with all the weather lately. Its conveinent too, about 10 mins from the house.

and catfish, carp...and the occasional bass. ;) This a pay lake, 2.00 permit and and 2.00 launch fee...And its electric only, no gas motors.

Would be a good place to have a tourney...emoPoke
