Ok, I have 2 depth finders on my new boat. One up on the trolling motor and the other one, of course on the back by the drivers.

Well, the one on the back just quit working the other day. I fiddled around with the battery to see if there may be corrosion or bad wiring but nothing seemed to pop up... So since they were both the same depth finders I just pulled themonitor off the front and placed on the back and it works just fine.

Its something wrong with the monitor then, anyone have any ideas? BTW, the depth finders are not under warranty anymore!

Thanks for your replies,

Apparantly your transducers are fine and your problem is with the unit itself. I would go on the website of the brand you have and see if you can send it in. I know if it's a Humminbird you can do that and it cost around $65 for repair work (at least mine did) but prices vary with different units. Good luck.

Crazzy the Lowrances have a hard reset or something like that, which is the first thing the factory techs tell you to try. It like pushing a couple of specific buttons at the same time and holding them for a few seconds. Don`t know for sure but HB might have something like that too. Just a thought !
