I was able to take some time off work and do some fishing for Thanksgiving. Weather was great with plenty of sunshine during the day and bonfires on the beach with friends in the evenings.

Located bull reds under the birds in St Joe Bay and found slot reds and trout off the beach and oyster bars. We caught 60 trout one morning in the bay under the birds. They were mostly short but great fun. I think we only kept 10 for the grill. We also found many black sea bass on nearshore structure.

My favorite lures were DOA shrimp under a cork and DOA electric chicken jerk bait.

A few pics below. Water temp was 60.

Hey BassERT - I expect most striper lures will work on big reds as well under certain conditions. A bucktail jig seems to always be on one of my fishing rods whether fresh or salt. Snapper and Grouper love them too!

Great to hear you are having fun with stripers in TN!
