If you did this may be your lucky day. I wanted to have my motor checked out. Nothing wrong, just playing it safe and wanted to know how many hours I had on it. Went to Fish-n-Fun and they took care of me. Since I was over that way this afternoon doing that I thought what the heck, might as well fish a couple hours. Launched there at Chester and started fishing in the park area. I was cranking and had my crank snag a line. In comes an almost new crank bait. It still had the line attached so I cut off the bait and started pulling up the line. I did not want to leave it for someone else to hang up on. emoAngel It just kept coming, must have had a hundred yards or more in my arms when it got heavy. emoScratch Up came a pretty nice rod and reel. Still in good shape and works fine. I don't think it has been there long. Line is trash since I had it in a big ball but the rod, reel and bait is in good working order.

If you lost this let me know. You will have to know your rod, reel and bait to ID it. It also has some letters written on it so you more then likely would know that too. Give me a shout if it is yours and you would like it back. emoGrouphug Jmax

If anyone finds a 7'4" MH KVD spinning rod with a KVD reel on it somewhere between Chester Frost and the lower end of the lake let me know lmao dang thing came unstrapped from the boat while we going to our first spot during the dog fight Monday night out of Chester Frost.. Heck of a way to start a tournament I'd say!!

emoSorry That is not the one I found. I wished it was for you.

Mikie, the way I look at it is the set is not really mine. Someone worked for this rod and reel. Spent their good earned money for it. I would rather see it back into the hands of the true owner. If not I got a really nice rod and a fairly good reel to go with it. I will try and find the true owners but if not, I guess it was my lucky day. emoAngel Jmax

I lost a Abu Garcia Winch on a vandetta rod over there. Caught a fish and was admiring it and the thing just slipped into the water without noticing it. The wind was blowing pretty good so the boat was moving, so didn't notice the exact time or place it went in. The worst part was it was only a couple weeks old and my father's day gift from my girls. That one hurt the most!

Nope, wished it was yours but that is not it either. This one looks to be a year or so old but still in very good shape. I do believe this one at the most may have been in the water a week but no more. Jmax

RE: Did you loose a rod, reel and crank bait inside the Dallas Bay area?

It is a decent reel and rod that I am sure whoever lost would like to have it back. I was once fishing a jigging spoon at Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas. It was a CC spoon and I hooked something off the bottom in about 30 feet. It was winter and not many folks out. Up came of all things a guy's wallet. It looked like it had just been lost. That lake is really clear and does not have much junk in the water. I looked in it and it had a guys license, credit cards, personal stuff and about $300 in cash. It was an out of state drivers license. I called information and lucky for the guy he still lived there and had a home phone. When I called him he must have thought it was a prank. He said he had lost that wallet over a year ago while on vacation at Heber Springs AR when he and some others were out on the water.

I told him it was all there and still looked new. emoLaugh I told him I would dry it all out for him and stick it in the mail. I think he was about in shock. He tried to give me $50 for a reward but I told him if I had wanted the money I would have never called. emoBigsmile He had already canceled all the credit card numbers but was really appreciative to have his personal pictures back with his other stuff as well as the money. I kind of felt like an early Santa Clause for the guy. The warm feeling you get and someone really feeling thankful is worth it. emoThumbsup Jmax

I have a slightly more embarrassing story of losing a wallet in a graveyard when I was about 19years old.... Then it showed up a couple of years later after I was married... It was hard to explain to my wife how that might have happened...

Too many drinks and wild women was about all I could come up with. It didn't go over well even though I had not even met her at that point. Another sad part is the guy who found it worked for the city government and now goes to Church with me... He laughs about it every now and then.

Sorry... that was off topic..

Jmax if no one claims it by this Saturday you could give it away as a door prize Being the nice guy you are LOL. just kidding that is a nice thing to do to try and find the person who lost it. I know if I would be sick if I lost one

Re: Did you loose a rod, reel and crank bait inside the Dallas Bay area?

I cant seem to find it but there is a you tube video of some college fishing team where a rod goes overboard and the fisherman dives in after it. Kind of funny... he didn't hesitate.

We may have a BINGO!!!! Looks like one of our members knows a friend who lost a rod, reel and bait at Chester Frost. It sounds very close to this one. Just trying to sure up a couple more questions. emoAngel This is really going to be something if we have found the true owner. I thought it was a long shot but thought, "Hey, what the heck, might as well post it." . emoDance Jmax

Found the owner! Is that cool or what! It was lost out of his boat at the Sportsman Warehouse tournament. What were the chances of that happening, to loose a rod and reel over board, have it found and then returned about two weeks later. emoAngel Jmax

I have a nice Browning outfit at the bottom of deep Dale Hollow....if you find it...I want it back. Thanks. emoPoke Joking aside...glad you found the owner.

emoQuestion Lets look again....I also found complete , rod, reel, lure in Wolftever couple weeks ago. Gonna say it had been there a while as hook was rusted so bad it broke in half when I put it in boat.. Rod has been cleaned, reel cleaned, oiled, greased as soon as I got home...reel works good, rod looks good, lure has been trashed.......... will return if identified........... emoGeezer emoUSA

I lost a Senko/Toad Skeet Reese Rod over by the point at Camp Columbus last year:( Had a Quantum Code Red reel on it and a black/blue 5"yamamoto senko on it. Less than 6ft of water. DD22 was nice enough to take me out and try to drag for it but no luck. Im sure as bright as that light saber rod was, someone was able to pick it up:).

I lost a mitchell 300 on a shakespear ole yeller rod in Swedon cove creek in 1966 while running from Lewis Collins Herdford bull. If anybody finds it your welcome to it.
