Greetings all. As we head into the new fishing season, I just wanted to make everyone aware of a couple of updates regarding DJW:

First, is that the will be NO price increases for '09. Raw materials continue to increase, but I believe I can hold where I'm at right now and be okay. Looking at the '09 prices for several of the larger wire bait manufacturers, my prices are still below - sometimes WELL below - theirs, so you can have someone in Mexico build your baits to their spec if you want, or you can have me do it to YOUR spec and I promise you mine will outlast theirs.

Second, is that I'm only planning to roll out one new bait for '09 (right now) and that will be a hidden weight spinnerbait. I'll have pics soon, but the new SB will be available in 1/2oz, 3/4oz, and 1oz sizes only. The standard SB will still be available in 5 sizes.

One other note is that certain times of the year may increase turnaround on your orders due to volume. To be honest, '08 was a very busy year for me and while I appreciate the orders, it buried me at times since this is something I do in my "free time." Not only am I a husband and father, but I also have a full-time job that doesn't involve building baits. That said, I'll do everything possible to quickly turn your orders around but my family comes first.

I thank everyone for their support and wish you all a safe and fulfilling '09 fishing season. From myself, Rachel, Parker, and the Dixie Jig Works Custom Baits 'Bro Staff, we'd like to remind everyone that mass-produced baits are for trained monkeys ... don't be a trained monkey.

Good to hear Rob. I have been looking for a good hidden weight spinnerbait alternative to the War Eagle...

That is good stuff he make just to let everyone know. emoThumbsup emoAngel Jmax

Thanks for keeping the pricing reasonable Rob. I've really enjoyed catching fish on your baits, and will continue to do so.

Guys, you know how you want a particular weigh/ style of bait and just have to settle for whats on the shelf? Here's your answer. I like being able to actually put my eyes on the colors and components before the bait is made! These are high-quality baits that catch fish period!

for some of us who are not familiar with your products could you post some pictures of your different baits..I might be interested in some after hearing so much good things about them
Thanks
Josh

JDK - Bprice did post a pic of the Rumpshaker in his link. It's a bladed swim jig ~ similar to the chatterbait ~ only mine is weedless and made with a good hook.
