We made the long early run upriver to fish rocky banks with square-bills and plastics. Managed 2 small keeper spots and several short spots and smallies. Ran towards dam to try and find some size and all we did was haul water, so back to where we started. Managed to cull a couple of times with more smallish spots. Finally got our first and only largemouth (6.78 lb'er) on a square-bill. Had a blast, caught a lot of fish. Managed to stay dry all day even with Carl going 60+ on long ride back to ramp in showers......then he power dumps me in water at dock just so I would be stuck in truck at weigh in getting warm so he could say he caught the big fish, I'm sure. By my best estimates water temp was around 68 at ramp and an unusual 6' deep at end of dock.
