The demand to Ban more assault weapons is not intended to even make a small dent in the crime rate. The General Public are demanding that we end thesenselesspublic shootings. The quick fix it to just flat out fool the gullible public. All the Hype to blame the AR-15 is by far not the answer to the problem. However it will appease the ignorant who believe all the Governments Propaganda. Theansweris to wake up and see the way way too many young middle-class white males are being molded by our Political Correctness.

Please read the following and educate yourself. They can fool the general public but you do not have to fool yourself. >>>

Assault weapons are used in about one-fifth of one percent (.20%) of all violent crimes and about one percent in gun crimes.

You can ban all guns in this nation and people will still find a way to get them, just like they do drugs that are banned. The only difference then is if you have guns legally or illegally, they will still be around and easy to find. I definitely do not want to give up my right to own and carry, when I see fit, a weapon. On the other hand, I don't understand anyones need to have an automatic or semi-automatic assault weapon in their posession.

What is the difference between a semi auto hunting rifle/ shotgun and an AR? Don't let the black, tactical thing fool you. They are actually really great on coyotes and prarie dogs. None of them are fully auto anymore. Even the military only uses 3rd burst. Old mausers and enfields were assault weapons at one time. Past bans included all semi auto long guns including shotguns. To each his on though.
