I've seen enough "paranormal" activity to make a new ghost hunters TV show.</p>

The house in which my grandparents lived in and in which I later lived in was/is over 130 years old.  It has been in my family most of that time up until recently when my mom finally had to sell it because of property taxes.  It is located in Chickamauga.  When I was a little I remember seeing strange things and asking my now deceased father( it was his parents) and he just played it off.  Later in life the same strange things happened but my father was more in depth in our conversations about it.  He said that these things happened as far back as he could remember.  In 1991 my grandmother passed and we moved into the house.  I would have friends come over only to hastily leave the next morning. And not return.  </p>

Things that happened included:  First there was a "parlor room",  that in the middle of summer with the heat on inside b/c my G.M. had no blood, would be at least 10 - 25 degrees colder than the rest of the house.  On many occasions I have seen a translucent blue cat walk out of this room, into the main living room and do "cat like things"  i.e. licking, sitting, lying on the floor, etc.etc.  You never could look directly at it but only out of the corner of your eye.  Lights have turned on and off by them selves when I was the ONLY person at home.  Doors would open and shut on their own accord(which one might ask what about a breeze or draft?  Well what if there wasn't a breeze or draft?) I have seen numerous times while watching TV in the dark reflections of people going through the kitchen on the TV screen only to turn around to find that the kitchen was empty.  I would wake up abruptly in the night with a sensation that someone was standing over me.  I have also woke up at night with the sensation that someone nudged me as if to wake me up, except no one was in the room with me.  Items would not be as if they were left, EX.  my mom was constantly leaving her reading glasses on the table in the kitchen only to find them elsewhere in the house.  In the parlor room, there was a chandelier of sorts and on more than one occasion I witnessed it swinging one direction and then STOPPING and swinging perpendicular to its previous direction.  I have seen ONCE my grandmother sitting with her back to me in her faded, tattered night robe and her night hat on the stair well leading to the downstairs of the house.  This particular instance I thought she said my name and glanced down the stairs to see her sitting there.  I went into my room and then realized OMG!!  WTF!!!  I slept with the light on and the door locked that night.  </p>

There was many more odd things happen here but I'm not trying to write a book.  Just wanted to share these strange happenings with fellow CFFer's   BUT I would like to hear any occurrences such as these that anybody may have had.

Re: you ever saw a ghost??

I've never seen a ghost, but I frequently catch what appears to be some spontaneous movement/ fleeting glimpseout of the corner of my eye (perhaps why I enjoy the Pink Floyd song "Comfortably Numb"!). I certainly believe ghosts are more of a possibility than UFOs, but I don't completely discount them either. Seeing is believing, as they say.</p>

CB, I think the lack of response is due to the title of your post, "you ever saw a ghost?". Response might have been better with 'do you believe in ghosts?'</p>

Re: you ever saw a ghost??

I've never seen one, I THINK I'd like to, but I'd probably be scared to death if I did see one, and I want to stay alive.

RE: you ever saw a ghost??

I have never seen one. But my wife has had numerous paranormal experiences in one of her old apartments back in Syracuse. I do believe in the paranormal but sadly have never had a personal experience, or at least one I can feel confident in saying it was something paranormal.

Re: you ever saw a ghost??

I have had a couple strange experiences since I was about 6 that have opened my mindset toward paranormal stuff.
Good campfire talk (especially right now) But I don't make fun of anybody's experiences. emoEvil emoIdea

Re: you ever saw a ghost??

I have never personally experienced such a phenomenom. However my daughter is sensitive to those kinds of things. A few years ago we were in Daytona Beach on vacation and decided to visit the Ponce de leon lighthouse. While we were climbing the spiral staircase to the top she became histerical, crying, and begged to leave. She kept saying "Something's not right". A couple of years later I was watching the show "Ghost Hunters", they were filming in that same lighthouse. The hair stood up on the back of my neck! I had no idea when we visited, that the Ponce de leon lighthouse was thought to be haunted. Recently I was injured at work (dis-located shoulder), both my daughter and Grandmother knew something had happened to me before they were told.

Re: you ever saw a ghost??

No really CB and Outcaster I was just joking. We could probably sit down and swap a few interesting stories.
I have a recent one concerning my Grandaughter in the house we live in now.

I used to believe in ghost. In the house I grew up in I would sometimes see things that I could not explain. Friends would see lights in mid air and I have seen what I thought was a figure standing behind me at the bottom of some stairs. I do believe in Angels, but not ghost anymore. I believe that our spirit goes, but does not stay. I should also say that I believe in demons as well, but not human souls haunting the earth.

TW I believe in both angels and demons. I also believe that an angel would not harm an individual whereas a demon would probably have malevolent intent. But at the same time a demon could possibly pose as an angel...so...??
