Dodge 2500 Ram 6.4 or Ford F250 6.2 gas engine ??

Anyone have one of the engines listed ? If so how do you like it and whats the mpg ? Will be towing my Javelin 20 and a 8000lbs trailer trailer with it...

Truth....my buddy from Wy, has a Dodge (2010). He pulls a 32ft fifth wheel, with a 18 ft boat attached to the fifth wheel. All over Wy.

Cummins all the way. I'm getting about 15 mpg around town. Not sure about highway cause I don't travel a lot of highway.

I have never had either one and don't know much about either of them. But i've have several diesel owners tell me that they are too expensive to keep up and would go with a gas motor next.

just sold my cummins and went with the v10 ford ,no comparison the v10 outpulls the cummins hands down. im getting 15 mpg was getting 18 with the cummins and with the price of diesel much higher than gas its about the same price . when the ford really starts pulling its impressive. wouldn't buy another cummins

If you're buying new, go with the cummins for sure. The power those trucks put out is flat amazing. L&M Motors in Athens, TN can set you up with one. I know for sure there is a white down there right now.
