Does anyone know what lake elevation Navionics depth contours for Chickamauga is based on?

I'm guessing it is probably a summer pool elevation, but haven't been able to find the answer in a Google search.

I'm sure it is either 682.5 or 683. ( summer pool)

I can't say for 100% sure but most paper lake maps are labeled according to summer pool. My old navionic maps were based on summer pool and my newer ones are too. If you can't find out for sure then wait for summer pool and compare lake depth and map depth.

Chick is based on summer pool. I don't run anywhere less than the 10 foot contour in the winter.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Much appreciated!

All of the saltwater charts are based on Mean Low Tide. Makes sense, since an error in showing "more water under the keel" does less damage than an error in showing "too little water under the keel". Thud..bang...ouch!

you can also offset the low water conditions on your unit and it will temporarily change the depths on your maps so there is no guessing involved.

FYI. The Lakemaster/Hummingbird website states that Chickamauga was surveyed at 680'.

Yep. That was actually the basis for my question in the first place. I was playing with the app and wanted to set the level to current conditions. I know what the current level is from the TVA site. I just needed to know what to subtract from the base level on the map. I set it at -5 and that has got it pretty close. I went to the fishing pier at CFP yesterday afternoon and walked out there to try to validate the map against the actual water line and it was just about right on.

Interesting... Are all the maps based off the same survey? That would be a 2+ foot difference from summer pool. Means I would only need to dial in -3 for current water level.

You will have to scroll to the bottom of the list to see the specific lakes where they have posted their surveyed elevations.

No, all maps are not the same. Chick surveyed at 680'; Watts Bar at 741, Nickajack at 634, etc. Go to the link below.

Sorry, I meant are all of the different maps for the Chick based on the 680' survey elevation. I know that the lake elevations go down as you move downriver. My bad for not clarifying.
