Anymore or are they just throw away? I've got one in my rental that is cold on the freezer but not on fridge.
I hooked the water up and it leaks underneath.

Do I just chunk it and get another or take it somewhere or are there still repairmen?

It's a Samsung not a real expensive unit.

New one is $850 delivered

Seems like most appliances are built to be disposeable these days. I did put a $175 repair (house call) into a fridge that I bought new and got 6 more years out of it.
That was 15 yrs ago. Hard to say what they get these days.

I use to have a Kenmore and just called sears and they sent a guy who did well. I did a few years later buy a new one but I stayed with Kenmore. May depend on the brand. emoScratch Jmax

... call Robert Bodkin, Bodkin Appliance Service at 894-0995. I have known him and him over to service appliances many times in the past 30 years. If it's not worth repairing he will tell you so and you pay a $25.00 house call.

Well my wife answered my question by ordering a new from Lowes and having it delivered and the old one hauled off.
She's the most conscientious landlady in East Lake :)
