Dog fight 4-20

Fished the Harrission Dog fight last night. There was not as many boats because of the weather. My partner and I have not been on any fish so we decided to try Wolftever. It yeiled 1 keeper and a few dinks. We then went out to the main lake and hooked 2 more keepers but only one made it in the boat. Finally at dark another storm moved in and we decided to get back to the house before we got any wetter. The 2 keepers in the well were not anything to brag about and I heard that 10 lbs won it. In fact I heard that those guys culled 8 times in the three hours of fishing. All of our fish came from texas rigged plastics in shallow water. Outside of getting a little bit wet, it was fun. I am ready for these fish to settle into a summer pattern, but it will be a while untile I see that. Good luck to everyone who is fishing this weekend, I am going after a gobler!

Yeah we got wet alright....but it was fun. I think they said there were 26 boats.

Finally got some cash last night...got a 4.52 Largemouth that took big fish...wished I'd had two more like her. It was the only fish we weighed in. Caught several bucks last night, but couldn't find a hog pen.

Nice fish J-Junky. Was she caught on a jig? Was she shallow or was she deeper? It does look like she was shallow at some point with her tail looking like that. How much was the payout for big fish? 26 boats sounds like a good number to me. The dogfights that I've fished over the years have been smaller than that. I take it that it was the 'fight out of Harrison bay?
