I just bought a Humminbird 787 C2I tonight! Loaded with every Navionics Map known to man!

After fishing with Carl's this past weekend.......

I had to get me one!!

The Chart Plotter, Maps, and GPS when used together are just amazing!!

The "Navionics Gold" lake maps are almost unbelievable accurate!

I may hate myself in the morning for this purchase, but figure I will reap Lake Weiss of many more crappie this weekend!!!

Or at the very least, I need to catch the Mother Load, to justify my purchase!!!

I will blast down the Coosa River, running wide open, using full Chart Plotter, GPS, ect...... with "They Call Me The Breeze" playin
loud on the 8-track!!

Then with my luck, hit a stump, and rip off my lower unit!!!

The only bad thing about running with the gps is that they haven't figured a way to put the floating logs in the river on the screen yet.emoScratch emoBigsmile

Cheez,

I spent the first 40 years of my life duck hunting in the "Scatters"........

I dont worry about floating logs!!

It is them SOLID stumps that scare me!!

Jack, if you need to fill a backseat, let me know. I still know my hot spots on Weiss, and they are good for limits of big crappies. :) Might even throw a few spotted bass in as well. In our pontoon we used to have, we have hit both.............stumps and floating logs. I actually saw an entire tree float down river, just past the old bridge, in Cedar Bluff. The water was crazy high at the time, and logs were the least of folks' worries!

You will not be dissapointed. I bought the same thing this year and it is great. Works great when fishing humps and ledges in open water or at night.
