OK I know this is the Chattanooga forum so this could just be a littlel FYI in case someone's going to Pigeon Forge or nearby over the long weekend. My club's last night tourney was on Douglas this past Saturday and it was tough. Lake's already been pulled 16' below summer pool according to TVA's website. Not sure why they're dropping it so early. I was the non-boater fishing from the back since I don't know Douglas enough to go as a boater and when they start to drop the lake there's a ton of islands that just appear so I didn't want to find one of those in the dark. Anyway we fished the lower end by the dam for the most part. I scratched out a limit of five bass that pegged the scales at a mind blowing 5.23lbs. Almost too heavy to lift up by myself.emoLaugh What's bad is that was good for 3rd overall. First had a little over 11 and I'm not sure what second had but he had one a shade under 5lbs. Plenty had one single fish or none at all. Man it was tough. Water was 82 but moving as they were pulling water. I don't know what other's caught theirs on but I got mine mostly on a small finesse worm on a jighead at about 10' deep or so. Did get one keeper on a small spinnerbait before dark and another on a baby brush hog but nothing really set the water on fire. Guy in the front of the boat had one keeper on a 10" worm and got another small one that may have been smaller than the worm. Anyway, just wanted to pass on the info. Since they're dropping that lake already I wonder when the other downstream lakes will get pulled out?

Wow, small bags. What do you think was the problem? Just the falling water? You would think that someone would have figured out where the fish would be. From what I've heard, Douglas is a pretty fair fishery, wouldn't you say?

Going to Gatlinburg the the 8th through the 16th...was going to try and convince my father-in-law to bring along the boat. However, if the tourney guys are struggling, it may be best for us Douglas newbies to leave the boat at home.

Am I the only one that thinks JTF looks like swing blade in his new picture?;) Jmax
