Dove and Geese Opener

Yesterday was the opener for dove and Goose season up here in Jefferson City Tennessee. Two of my buddies and I went out around lunch yesterday and got our limit of Geese. After we got home and cleaned them we decided to hunt a dove field we have the honor to hunt. We also all limited out on dove. It was one of the best days I have had hunting in my life. I will post pictures when I get home.

I had a few good dove hunts up that way a few years ago. Also killed my first goose on Douglas about 1970. Now believe it or not, in those days if you saw a goose during the season it would have made the newspaper. Every now and then when there was a heavy migration you might see `em go by at a mile high but they rarely ever stopped here. I can also remember seeing High Migrating flocks of duck and geese....Just about the entire daylight hours. Continuous flocks almost. Ahh remembering the good old days.
