It's falling...it's falling...it's falling...

I was floating around HBay yesterday morning, waiting for the fog to lift (man, was it thick!) and got stuck on the "winter island" at the entrance to Dean Hollow slough. I'm sure glad it was mud and I was not running the big engine.

It took me 15 minutes to get off the mud w/ an oar...I was stuck solid!

I was surprised that the water had dropped so much since last weekend...be careful out there!

Yeah it has dropped at least 3 feet as Pointer said. I was heading to one of my spots yeasterday and was running in 14 feet of water, saw the bottom coming up on the sonar and cut the main engine. The water was glassy and I looked down to see huge stumps that I would have thought weren't a problem this time of year. We all need to be very careful. I put in at Skull and had to run as close as 10 feet to a boat sitting in the channel on the way out. I hated to do it but they were sitting there fishing for crappie and there is NO WAY I am getting out of the channel with the water down at Skull. Everyone take care out there.

Tnanks for the graghics. now I really know what's up or down. You do a great job on this website. Keep up the good work.

Terry, I had to go around that guy as well! I wish I had said something to him. Maybe he doesnt know that with the water coming down, he shouldnt be sitting in the safe travle routes?

No doubt it is down. The last two days I have not been able to get back into the coves where I was a month or two ago.
