We started out and were nearly killed by some moron in a monster cruiser doing figure 8's out in front of the no wake buoys and not paying attention. Do to the possible storms, we were going to start inside CFP and move outward. Ran to our first spot and after 30 minutes decided it was time to move. Tried to start the engine...and again...and again. Finally could only get motor to run in neutral by keeping foot on the gas pedal. Tried kicking it into forward, but only got it to work one time and it was only at 3k rpm. We were screwed. Boats behind us and in front of us so we tried to make the best of it. Dusty had caught one short, when I finally caught one small keeper and started trolling back towards CFP ramp. Finally, about 12:30, fished around ramp area and moved over towards fishing pier. Felt line get heavy and slowly lifted as I had been popping through the grass. Line took off so I set the hook. Big momma came to the top, broke the water, smiled at me, showing a mouth you could put your fist in...and spit my worm back at me. She was a pig, now gone for another day.

Right before that I had told Dusty that I felt like I had been kicked in the sack, then someone grabbed me and twisted it. This made it double tough, losing a huge fish that could have really helped us. We then had the fun task of manually loading the boat with a trolling motor and got out of the water as the winds blew into the park and everything started white-capping. Congrats to those with good bags of fish. We felt confident we could easily geta limit, but unfortunately, the lack of propulsion derailed us.

Thanks to all who came out, andeveryone for taking care of your fish. Kudos to Ronnie and Earl on anew CFF Record and Stephen/Billy on a bag that would win 98% of our tournaments.
