All week we had pondered to run up or down from Sullivans. We ultimately decided to stay close early and it paid off. We started out catching a number of short spots and largemouth before we got our first keeper off an overhang with a deep drop off and put us on the board. We put our second keeper in the boat on a wp75 in 8 feet of water beside a dock as a bass smashed it as I bounced it off the dock on retrieve. Dusty then put #3 in the boat and we were feeling good early on. Shortly after, Dusty hooked a solid 4.5-5 on a jig and after fighting the fish to the boat, went to net it and itjumped over the net and landed between the net and starboard side of boat. Dusty thought the fish was still on, but alas, it had come off the jig and was gone. I let out a scream that I am sure Mark/Ray heard across the river. We dwelled on it a minute and went back to work. We caught a few more shorts before pondering a run up stream to try and finish our limit. We ran upstream to two spots, but came up empty before deciding to make the long run. What we did forget was that the time on our Garmin Echomap would change shortly and we would lose an hour back to EDT. We arrived upstream and on the first cast I caught a smallmouth that was short. Then caught a large catfish and two more small fish before starting back downriver and stopping at our last spot. It was here that I again caught a short fish on the first cast, before we finally landed out largest fish. Got it in the boat and caught two more short fish before we HAD to head back. Cranked the motor and headed downriver and looked at Dusty and told him something did not sound right, as we passed through Suck Creek where the last houses are on the right hand side going approximately 55 mph, the motor stopped turning and sat down in the water. Luckily, Leonard was behind us and stopped. Dusty took our fish and board with Leonard and they proceeded to the weigh-in. I called TowBoat, which was at CFP and was going to be awhile getting to me, so I started trolling...with little current where I wasand the wind blowing against me we headed towards the boat ramp. Finally got to the ramp and loaded around 5pm. Got home and we removed the prop to find that the plastic sleeve was stripped. We replaced it run the motorfor a minute on hose thinking it was fixed...

All fish caught on Topwater, plastics, and jig. Caught total of 17 fish, but could only get the 4 keepers for right under 10 pounds.
