With my wife and I celebrating our 27th anniversary Friday and Saturday, we decided to get some sun Sunday on the water. Knowing Chickamauga would be packed with fisherman and pleasure boaters we opted to head over toNickajack and met Copyman there. Headed to our first spot, where we had whacked them a few weeks ago in 10-20 feet of water and nothing. Not even on the graph. Moving to some shallow grass, Copyman caught an ugly mudcat on a jig. Moved to our second spot and after a long lull I finally got a small, then a big bite on a crankbait on a spawning flat. Both fish literally ate the crankbait, telling me that was the right bait. Caught one more and after moving to our last spot, a wind blown, rip-rap bank, I caught a monster blue cat, then five more bass. Best fish around 3 pounds, with a 2.5 as well following it up. All fish caught on crankbait, creature bait, and jig.

A beautiful day on thelake, just not a great bite for us today. Hoping to get some time on Chick this week in preparation for Saturday's CFF.
