I fished with the Kid yesterday for a few short hours during a horrible wind. White capping the river portion of the lake. We fished docks to find the fish. Some bigger fish are beginning to show up under the docks. We caught around 20 total. Mostly keepers. I kept 3 for dinner. They were yummy. emoHungry We fished with 1/32, 1/24/ and 1/16 ounce BG plastics. Kid caught most. emoBigsmile

Then today, it was Candi's turn on the water with me. We ran to possum creek. We caught around 20 or slightly more. Most came from docks and a couple from blowdowns. Over 1/2 were keeper sized with the biggest at 13.5 inches. I caught a nice black nose crappie of about 1 pound maybe. All fish released. BG shads with 1/32 and 1/24 caught nearly all our fish. Electric chicken was the best color and all fish were dredged from off the bottom. No shallow fish at all. Water temp today was a balmy 73 degrees. Wind got up a little after lunch and made it a nuisance to fish in. Not as bad as yesterday's gale force winds. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

Candi has pics and will post. Kid and I never got the camera out. Nothing big enough really to take a pic of. We did have one around 13" and a couple in the mid 12's. emoGeezer

Thanks for the trip today DK, that was my black nose before you switched to electric chicken. I get a big kick out of catching the first few fish on the chicken. I could never teach you anything when it comes to crappie fishing, but it does make me smile bigemoBigsmile when you finally decide to tie on the chicken. emoBigsmile

I figured with the 3 of you - those slabs didn't have a chance!!
Man-are those the Dayton strawberries? I've been eating them for 2 weeks now! They are fabulous!

DK, I was going to comment on the trip tilli saw those 3 pound strawberries and forgot what I was gonna say. Oh yeah, thanks DK taking me yesterday. DK showed me some great spots, some of his brush piles! DK, you are giving the fox the keys to the hen house! You are too generous, or crazy. It's generous! We have exchanged some favorite spots and we both will be better for it. I just hope DK doesn't get a faster boat than mine.
