It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...No wait, that line has already been used. The 3 stooges got together this am at the Riverpark around 7ish. Actually, FA and DK got there early and had to wait on the boat and MadBomber. After a word of prayer, we launched the boat and started out on our day's adventure. I really enjoyed the day of fellowship and fishing. We landed 36 fish total. We must have hooked up on that many more that either broke our lines or jumped off before coming aboard. We were not using MadBomber rules today or we would have had 60. emoBigsmile

Of the 36 that did come aboard, 33 were bass, 2 catfish and 1 goggle eye. I had the excitement of fighting and landing a 13.5 pound bluecat on my ultralight line with 1/16 oz jig and ringer stinger. While I was fighting this fish, Fat Albert caught the best smallie of the day among us. We each caught a couple of smallmouth. FA is really good with the boga grips. The net that MB has wasn't big enough to get the big catfish in. There were some tense moments as we were waiting on FA to get his pic with the smallie, then find the bogo grips, and finally landing this brute. After getting the fish in the boat, the little jig just fell out of the top of his mouth. I don't see how I ever landed this cat. emoEek

I fished in the back of the boat and had the advantage of the other two as my lure was seen first most of the time. I caught one spot while just holding the rod on my lap with the jig about 2 feet under the boat as I was putting another spot in the livewell. MadBomber told me that I had to quit fishing when I caught my limit. emoBigsmile

We started at the dam this morning and caught several fish before making the run downtown. We caught several fish, but it was really slow I thought. A lot of times, you can catch 100 or more of these fish. We will do this again soon. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

It really was sort of embarassing watching FA fish with Pink Crocs on this AM. I'll leave MB to tell the story about the shoes.

Great morning guys! I would have loved to have been a fly on the w............, er, motor to watch all of the festivities.

Sounds like a great day. Fat albert looked happy in all the pics, except the last, must of been the size of the fish.

Yes, it's true!!! Fat Albert wears pink crocs!!! DK wore us out today on numbers. I kept trying to catch fish on his little stingers but had little success. FA actually caught over his limit, although he had the worst luck keeping his fish on the hook long enough to get them in the boat. I made a late comeback by switching back to my tried & true Fat Albert Grub.

A beautiful day on the River with my 2 best buds!! We're going to do it again in a couple weeks. Maybe we will have a cool snap between now and then.

yes, the 3 amigos were at it again....nothing like sharing a fishin trip with good friends....well, one of them has put a tainted thingie on our friendship......NOT REALLY....but after about an hour of having fun and fellowship, the MB pulled this bag from one of his compartments and handed me my new treasure......THE PINK CROCS and yes I am comfortable in my manhood that, Yes, I put um on and wore them for the whole fishin trip.....they matched my underwear perfectly....I did get some funny looks when I went to the Wal-Mart. However, we had a lot of laughs and poked good clean fun at each other.....thanks MB for your aaagggh, thoughtfulness...I will get ya back. Hey Spurhunter, eat your heart out..... Now, for the better stuff.......sure wished we had put all the fish we had on in the boat.....dang, we missed a bunch.....broken lines and I don't know how long I fished with no hooks on the jigging spoon......what dumb luck or not paying attention.....BTW, DK's camera makes me look very fat.....don't understand this .....We could not believe the big cat ate that little stinger ringer...I guess he liked the little stuff this morning.....the spaaaats were not as active as we had thought they would be but we will get um next trip....and as always we had a good time......pink crocs and all........Fat AlbertemoGrouphug

You "believe" you saw them...Lord, how could you mistake that crew? emoLaugh

Good seeing you guys hitting the water again. I love these post. Always full of ...um...fun? emoDance

Great report fellers!!!!

Now really guys, next time you gotta let some of us CFF'ers know you are all THREE going out so we can get a boat to float along with you and video/audio tape the entire voyage. We could hit massive ratings with the three of you in a boat, that's for sure. Glad to see you boys getting out. Man.... I'm into Crocs, but PINK ones? Gotta draw the line somewhere..... The googles MUST make it to the HOF!!!

rsimms - 9/22/2008 4:54 PM MB, what's with those goggles???? You look like Atom Ant (anybody remember him?). Thanks for sharing!

I don't like bugs in my eyes & I don't like sunglasses for eye protection. The wind whips around the lenses. Some years ago, I bought a pair of Bolle Ski Goggles ($40) and they were great. They have foam around the lenses that keep the wind out. They eventually wore out. I discovered that Red Bank Army store had Tank Driver goggles for about $5. They worked just as good as theSki Goggles. They also fit over Prescription glasses in case you wonder. Anyone who goes fast on the water should consider Goggles instead of glasses.

DK, that had to be a fantastic fishing trip, 3 of my favorite cffer's, the blue cats seem to like the ringer stingers, I had one on a blue stinger with the tail dipped in chartruse yesterday, nothing else would bite it though. FA likes the crocks, goes with his pink water dog baits. Thanks for the report.

Wow, now maybe it should be the Mad Tanker instead of the Mad Bomber with those windshields on, emoUpsmile And where did you find them little girl rubber shoes for FA and he went into WalMart with 'em on, that boy's a little off aint he, emoBigsmile lol emoUpsmile
Looks like Ya'll had a great day and don't feel bad about DK cleanin' yer clock on the catchin', he does it to everyone.
See DK, I told you I brought you bad luck, look at what Ya'll did compared to what we did a week ago, emoRolleyes
