sportsmans wearhouse has another brand labeled as crappie slugs, and they look just like the assasins but are much cheaper and come in different colors. grab some and try them, the crappie won't know they are not the originals

Hey guys. You can catch crappie on more than a panfish assasin. I have said it many times. Don't fall in love with just one lure. It will break your heart. Tubes in the winter time work great too. Those ringer stingers have been productive also. I used to catch many crappie on 1.5 inch grubs. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

Paulj catches as many crappie or more than just about anybody. He just won't post reports about it. To my knowledge he doesn't even own a panfish assasin. He uses jiffy jigs mostly. It is just like the line debate. There are more than one or two ways to catch fish.

fish - 12/29/2007 1:26 AM Wal-Mart in Lookout Valley has the Panfish Assassins. I was going to buy some but I didn't know what color to buy.

They all work at some time or another.

SW had them yesterday, and Boaters World also had them. I picked up two new colors.

PA work well but so do all the other baits I think it is just the flavor of the year and everybody is using them now, catch crappie on 2" grubs all the time as well as pa.My .02 worth

Well Dk and Shocker are pertty good friends. He may be using more high tech methods than a cast net or TNT.emoBigsmile

While in Asheville, NC for Christmas, my Dad and I had this conversation over a couple of days. He has used them for years, and swears he started it, not Drumking!!! I told him about not being able to find any albino shad or shad colored ones. You know what he did? Took me up to a farm pond LOADED with crappies. He caught five on a chart. Then a red/white, then a pepper, then a pumpkin, etc.... he caught fish on about 15 different things. Just to show off, but also proving his point. Saying that when they are biting, they will bit just about anything that size. We always used white minijigs. Hey, a guys gotta have faith in what he's throwin' right? And FA why didn't you give me a holler on your way by?

NA, it was a wifie trip, thingie.....she needed to get away....not from me but just get away...LOL...I could not get her to stop goin or comin...I wanted to ease over below Nick dam but she would not hear to it..and I did not get the fish any while down at Guntersville....can you believe that....shop, shop shop....FA
