I wouldn't be as happy about the hoodie as much as that bull canvasback. That thing would be going on the wall.

Could you please share some tips and tricks about duck hunting? What calls, blinds, guns, shells do you recommend?

I would start with some decent mallard dekes a dozen will do. Then get a call you like you will buy more than one I promise. The place to look for calls is somewhere you can blow them Sportsmans willl let you. Any good shotgun will do an pump gun is the way I would go. It won't freeze up as easy as a auto loader and the tend to be eaiser to clean. As far as shell winchester experts or kent are about the cheapest. Some 3 in number fours would be fine. And one place not to be frugal is your waders they keep you dry and warm. Trust me being cold and wet in Jan is no fun been there. No need for blinds just starting out. A good folding saw will go along way with making a makeshift blind on a bank of the river. Now there are several wma's around but please if you hunt them be respectful of the other hunters. Shoot at birds in range don't call at birds working someone else. But the best way to get started is hunt with somebody that has been doing it for a while. They will have the dekes and blinds and kinda know where birds are. I would be up for letting you hunt with my group anytime. But there is only one week left in the season. It's up to you though.

there isn't even a Hoddie-Mo in any of those pics? Might want to learn what the different species of ducks look like first, before you have too many of one.
