They are local Chattanooga Ducks, And we have seen about 300 can's this year and all of this is in my first year of duck hunting. So for my first year I am sure you all know that I am hooked pretty darn bad. I am looking for a used duck boat watch you tube all the time to see different things about the way to set up, call, and just anything on ducks period man its so exciting.

Could you please share some tips and tricks about duck hunting? What calls, blinds, guns, shells do you recommend?

It would be hard for me to give any info I hunt with some guys that pretty much have everything that we use, except the gun. 12 gauge pump or semi auto 3in. shells steel load 1750 fps. check out you tube for more info and ash some more on here that's were Ive been getting my info. All kinds of websites for help, and alot of them say to call and they will directly answer you questions.

I would start with some decent mallard dekes a dozen will do. Then get a call you like you will buy more than one I promise. The place to look for calls is somewhere you can blow them Sportsmans willl let you. Any good shotgun will do an pump gun is the way I would go. It won't freeze up as easy as a auto loader and the tend to be eaiser to clean. As far as shell winchester experts or kent are about the cheapest. Some 3 in number fours would be fine. And one place not to be frugal is your waders they keep you dry and warm. Trust me being cold and wet in Jan is no fun been there. No need for blinds just starting out. A good folding saw will go along way with making a makeshift blind on a bank of the river. Now there are several wma's around but please if you hunt them be respectful of the other hunters. Shoot at birds in range don't call at birds working someone else. But the best way to get started is hunt with somebody that has been doing it for a while. They will have the dekes and blinds and kinda know where birds are. I would be up for letting you hunt with my group anytime. But there is only one week left in the season. It's up to you though.

Thank you for sharing!!! I've never got into duck hunting... Dale Hollow they set up blinds in my favorite fishing area and get very upset when I take my boat toward them LOL... One of these days I'm going to get guide and try duck hunting out...

there isn't even a Hoddie-Mo in any of those pics? Might want to learn what the different species of ducks look like first, before you have too many of one.

So the one of the three on the front of the boat next to the trolling motor that isn't a female hooded? from pics that I have seen looks like on to me? if its not then what is it.

They are much better hear than Va. We shot a bunch of ducks and geese up on chesepeke bay and they are awfull. The brants we killed didn't even make good jerky we tried everything.
