emoHoppingmad I was fishing my favorite spot saturday am .was casting a top water into a school of big bass under a brush pile. have been watching these big boys for awhile and waiting for daybreak.well along comes a bobber fishing dude and hung up wright in the middle of this brush pile.I told the bummy just cut your line.well he cominced to start wadding out in waist deep water to brush pile.HELLO HELLO. what a dummy he starts pulling the brush pile apart.talk about fired up i had been watching these bass for weeks.knowing i was gunna catch one.you know how it is when you are waiting for the wright moment when bang.A BUMMY apears.if you are reading this dummy when you see a brush pile and a guy fishing it be a smart dummy anf just go fish your bobber elsewhere. emoEnforce

Sounds frustrating but I hate to lose tackle too. He may have been down to his last hook or maybe his last bobber. I maybe shouldn't stand up for the guy but you or I may have done the same thing if we had been in his "moccasins" so to speak. I would expect that if the fish have been there for a while that they will be back. I know how frustrating it can be on either side of the fence though.

Sorry bout the luck Breeze. I am shocked you let him come in on your private pond anyway. Next time lock the gate so the riff-raff cant mess youup. I think the fish will be back though, keep at it. make sure and post some pics...i love pond fishing.

What you witnessed, Breeze, was ignorance that has gone to seed. Those fish probably will never come back now that someone tore the brushpile up trying to retrieve a 0.02 hook and a 3 cent plastic grub.

I used to fish for crappie with a buddy that has since moved out of state, and he would pull right over a school of active crappie trying to retrieve a stupid jig that I had hundreds of and would gladly give him. We wondered back then why the fish suddenly quit biting! emoDoh I have since learned better than to do this. My catch ratio has increased dramatically too. emoDoh emoBigsmile emoGeezer

if i wore mocs i would not be using hooks i would be using nets.and if i were using hooks would not fish i brush pile like that anyway.and would be worrying about killer snakes and some giant snapping turtles and what ever might be waiting for a dummy to stick his hand in there

Sorry to hear about this. It seems the idiots are now out in full bloom, from bank fisherman, to people sitting on the ramps prepping their boats, to the usual run of jet skiers and pleasure boaters.
