emoScratch I went out to cover up the boat and noticed the motor was all the way up which is not how I left it. I tried the trim switch and it didnt work. I also tried the trim on the throttle and at the front of the boat none of them worked. I then tried the lights and stuff like that however it was a no go either. I power washed it yesterday and everything was fine. What do you guys think?

need to check fuses, spry with wd-40 to get water out. that or one of your trim sw is stock in the up position.

One of your trim switches shorted out. Power went to the trim motor and ran the trim up, and up, and up, and... until the constant drain ran your battery down to dead. Replace the bad switch to fix that part. I just hope for your sake that it didn't burn out your trim motor. You have a screw on your power trim to release the pressure so you can lower the engine. Check Your manual. You may need to support the lower end as you release the pressure on your trim. I sure hope for the best for you.

Your switches had a corrosion buildup that finally arched and caused it to short out. I take my switch panel off about every six months and spray tuner spray or contact cleaner inside all my switches, contacts and electrical posts.

#1 Most likely place to look would be the trim switch on the bow panel if you have one on the front. May have just got water in it, which might mean its okay now or may cause future problems. Make sure the switch has a waterproof boot on it.

#2 Smaller chance it could be your trim switch on the steering wheel if you have one. Especially if it is the older trim on the wheel style with the coiled stretchy cord.

Turns out it was the throttle trim switch. I worked the switch a few times and it started to work normally does that mean its a relay somewhere? What do you guys think?
