If you want to totally eliminate a chance of some electrical snafu while you aren`t around the boat..... will taking the grounds loose on the starting battery and the grounds on the 12/24 batteries do it ?? Or would you be better to take the positives off too. Common sense tells me the grounds should be enough but if a component or switch decided to internally go wrong could it still cause a problem????

Snuffy that will work fine. You have broken the link and that is what you are after. I always install a cut off switch to my ground.

I SURE ain't no 'lectrician, big guy, but that sounds like it should work. A better/easier solution IMO may be to consider installing the Perko battery switches. The new Toona boats have 2 of them. One isolates the engine and helm. Another isolates the TM. Mark and the boys should be able to point you in the right direction on the switch(s). Have a good one!

I am a master electrician. Bubbakat is correct.....You can remove the ground and you should have no problem. I remove the positive and the negative (ground) from my batteries. This way I am positive that nothing will go wrong. That low voltage DC power will only give ya a small shock but it will give ya a BIG burn if you are not careful. There is a lot of amps in those boat batteries.

THANKS GUYS....IT DOESN`T TAKE MUCH EFFORT TO SPIN THOSE OTHER 3 WINGSNUTS OFF...AND I`LL SLEEP BETTER WHEN I`M NOT AROUND.......IT`S BAD ENOUGH HAVING 30 GALLONS OF GAS IN THERE BUT FOR IT TO BE SANDWICHED BY 3 BATTERIES....OOOHHH BOY !
