BASS has released its tourney schedule for 2009 and 2010. I wonder if BASS will ever come back to the Chick? With the large limits being weighed here you would think it would definitely be better than Old Hickory like they fished this year.

In February, BASS also announced the dates for the next three Bassmaster Classics: Feb. 20-22, 2009, on the Red River out of Shreveport-Bossier City, La.; Feb. 19-21, 2010, out of Birmingham, Ala.; and Feb. 18-20, 2011, out of New Orleans. For some reason, they want to stay camped out around Birmingham and in Louisiana.

I can't believe they are waiting until 2010 to go back to the delta and clear lake, that's too long! I think they will come to the Chick in a few years, them or FLW with the quality of fishing there. The clubs associated with both organizations need to get involved in the politics of it all to get them to come to town. I know when I was in WA the community had to put up $25K to get BASS on the Columbia River. I imagine it's more than that for the big boys but money well spent for the return.

JMHO and from what I've seen in the past, the fish will get beat up bad for a while and if weights are good (which they will be with the big boys on Chick) the fish will continue to get beat up for some time as everyone will be out following the pros around and figure things out real quick...

Thanks for the info. It's hard to believe that they had the Bassmaster Classic here in 1986 before the lake fell apart. I can't believe FLW at least has not returned like team-d indicated. I suppose they have these lined up so far in advance it would take a while to schedule it.
