Ronnie and I started out on a ledge with a large spawning flat behind it. I caught our first keeper quickly. Then proceeded to hook and loose two more? I think we both caught a short fish and we kept chunk'in. Then suddenly I saw Meatman set the hook and his rod bowed up and just sat there like he stuck the hook into a stump. The rod didn't move? It just bowed up? I looked at Ronnie and asked are you hung up? Then he turned his head to face me and I saw his eyes. They were big and wide and Ronnie simply said bigg'in! I netted her and she was 8.04 which did get big fish for the Tx. We caught several more fish. I think we had eighteen total. We culled about four times just by ounces. Our three fish weighed 13 something, just short of 14 lbs. which got us second place. We caught fish on shakey heads, Senkos and jigs. All the fish were caught in about 4-10 fow. About 10:30 am it really got humid out there. Fortunately we had a good breeze to keep us cool! Congarts to Mark and Ray on their bag. They put a spanking on all of us. Hope to see everyone at out first night event on May 31st out of CFP!
