Well at least we did have something positive and informative to report today. Jerry and I had absolutely no clue as of what to do or where to start this morning! We changed our plan ever day this week, several times just on the phone in a conversation. We had no clue. Each of us had caught numbers fish over the last two weeks but nothing really over 3 1/2 lbs. We caught fish from 2 fow to 25 fow and nothing on a top water the entire week. One day, we would decided we are going up the river and then the next day we are going down river!? And this morning as I said, we had no plan. We didn't decide until the actual blast off and the boat was coming up on plan when Jerry said "let's go down the river" and I told him,"your the guide!" We started out slow. Strangely enough, as the day progressed. we caught more numbers and culled our fish all day as we went shallower!? Most participants that I heard from at weigh in, said that the later part of the day was slow to awful. And again today we caught fish in 2 / 20 fow. We caught about 40 fish total. We caught them on C rigs, Tx rigs, and jigs. No cranks, no top waters. We tried! Our three fish weighed 12. ? lbs. with a 5. ? kicker. Congrats to Churley and Ramjack on the win. AND THE WIND DIDN"T BLOW 30 MPH TADAY AND THE WORLD DIDN"T END! So I get to fish again, I hope!
