Well my usual partner Ronnie Sexton got mixed up with the dates and thought that our CFF Tx. was next weekend instead of this weekend. Unknowingly he then committed to go on a family weekend with his wife, two daughters and mother to Gatlinburg. He then had the nerve to try to talk his way out of the family weekend and fish instead! Well i told him that his home life was not going to be all that pleasant for some time if he skipped out on the family and that i would get another partner or fish alone. I called Tim long and he agreed to fill in and help us both out. Now Tim is accustom to fishing the Frost Bite winter events at CFP that always start at 8 am regardless and didn't realize that the CFF started at safe light. So around 6:50 am this morning Tim is a no show? I called his cell and he is poking along taking his on sweet time and had just turned onto Hixson Pike thinking we would blast off at 8 am. We laughed and i told him to get his butt in gear and hurry up! Well we finally get into the water and start idling out for our late blast off as we quickly made a game plan of our fishing stops. We fished six different spots all day and caught fish at every stop except one. We caught fish all day from start to finish. We eaisly caught over thirty fish, missed several (the fish were biting funny) and snapped off two on the hook set. All but one fish bit either a shakey head worm or a soft plastic creature bait. Tim caught one fish on a chatter bait. I never threw anything but the shakey head all day long. The fish were all in about 4 - 8 feet of water. Tim caught our big fish that was 6.73 lbs. I had one that was just over 5 lbs. We tried the remainder of the day to up grade and cull out our other fish but it just didn't happen. We caught very few short fish. Our three keepers weighed in at 14.06 lbs. and was good enough for the win.

Congratulations on the win. I guess you are going have to trade in your old partner so you can win. Charles and I was going to fish it but I didn't feel very good Friday. So I decided to stay home and let the old body rest.
