To start out on a sour note, our bull horn problem will be fixed one way or another so everyone can hear the blast off. One other complaint and issue please. It has been duly noted that a boat or two seems to like to jump the gun and head out just a little bit early regardless of what their number is. Come on guys, if your boat no. 22 don't take off as if your no. 5! And I don't have any idea who was no. 5 or no. 22 this morning. That's just the numbers I picked, ok? If you want to be boat no. 5 then get your lazy butt out of bed and get there early enough to register and be no. 5! An by the way, thanks to everyone this morning that did get there just a little bit earlier for registration. The Committee does appreciate the help on your part so that we don't have a mad rush, bottle neck at the very last second. But please what ever your number is for blast off, just wait your turn. This isn't the FLW Cup you know!
Moses and I ran just across the river this morning and I caught a 3.6 on a spinnerbait immediately. Then one on a jig. Jerry added a spot to the well. We were culling by 6:45. We caught about 40 fish today. 98% were on a jig or C-rig. Most were in about 2/ 6 fow. We did loose, for some reason several fish that just jumped and came unbuttoned? Nothing huge, so no complaint. Now did I break off two on the hook set on jigs. They could have been 10 inchers or 10 lbers. I don't know. On one, the knot popped on the jig. I could see the old knot tie ends. I should have checked and retied! The other looked like the line was scrubbed, frayed on something a cut. All I know is the rod buckled up pretty good on both. JMO, I think they were both 10 lbers or better! We weighed in our three best monsters at 10.56 lbs. I think. I don't know what place we were.
There were lots of good fish caught today. Some big 'ol pig hawgs! Congrtat to all the winners. See 'ya all at the Nick!
