Emory River 8/9/06

I went on the Emory this morning about 6:00. Water temp was 84 and clear to about 4 ft. Started out with a Spook jr and caught a few small spots, but they just were not that active on the surface. I switched to a bitsy bug and a watermelon seed finesse worm. Caught a bunch of spots, a couple of largemouth,and a smallmouth on it. I caught all my fish on steep rocky banks and bluffs. It was nice out this morning, no jetskiis or ski boats. It won't be long for fall fishing, and we are closing on the house on Sept 7 so I am just counting the days.

Good going Jim!!! Sounds like a nice morning to be dippin the line! I know you are excited about the 7th. I remember when we closed on our house last year! Then I remember moving .. ARG!!! What a chore. But it's very cool to be sitting on your own porch! You'll love it.
