I live in cleveland and was wondering where would be the best place to take a mercury for some yearly maintenance. Not peeing like it should, when first started it takes about 3 to 4 minutes to start coming out in a steady flow but its not a strong flow like it should be. And when I take off it only comes out when I have it pegged. Was wondering if this might be the impeller or water pump or something else.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you come out of the hole ,do you trim the engine all the way down! if not try it sometimes it may help.
an old Bass Club Trick. after you get on plane then start trimming UP some until it levels off.WORTH A TRY
John!

check the pee hole first....on a OMC you can unscrew a nut over the pee-er and it`s amazing the junk that can get in it...
I didn`t see your location but Bunch Marine in Kingston just got mine this morn for foot oil replacement and some other service....I`m going with AMSOIL in the lower unit now.
They said they weren`t covered up right now so keep `em in mind.

clevleand boat center is the only one i can think of dealer wise but tracy hardin does some work on mercury,s dont have his # but cna get it for you if you want it just pm me and let me know

Don't take this the wrong way, but....You may be able to clear your pee hole with weed eater line. I will 2nd the recommendation on Bunch Marine if you're close. VERY good folks up there. Good luck!

DON'T use Marine Tech ,between Cleveland and Charleston. Unless you have a sack of extra money and another sack for the BS. I found out the HARD WAY. Sorry Dhaun I know I am knocking this place ,just warning others. ------Barry Langstaff 'Tileman' emoSorry

Maybe this needs a new thread on water pump impellers but if my engine was doing that and the water pump impeller hadn't been replaced in the last 4 or 5 years I would automatically have that done and clean out the passageways too as the others have suggested.

If my motor doesn't have a good stream at idle I don't run it.
