Anyone here removed an epoxied in transducer? I have done some looking on the web, and formulated a plan of attack. I juat wanted to see if anyone here had any top secret tips or experiences.

I have a tool that should take it out in couple of minutes without damaging the boat. It is expensive to operate with a new blade running about 60 dollars. How ever in most cases if you are replacing a transducer, I would just clip the wires and epoxy one right next to/or in front ofthe old one.

Take some kids play dough and build you a little wall around it and pour some acetone on it and it will soften the epoxy enough to lift it out. I have done it several time without and harm to the boat.
