EricM fishing log - 500 blues!

I was making my entries today in my fishing logs and noticed that today I logged my 500th blue catfish for 2007. Amazingly, only 10% (exactly 50) were under 5 lbs. Slightly more than half of the total weighed over 10 lbs! I would have never thought the total was that high. It's interesting to read back over your journals and see the trends and the changes from year to year. I have often felt that it was a pain to constantly log the daily info, but I'm glad now that I kept up with it. Fun and useful info!

Congrats Eric! I've noticed the size of the blues is pretty big on average right now. At least 7 to 12 lbs. I seldom catch them below that for some reason. Good job! 500 fish! I can only wish!

Uh-oh TT, now you've got me wondering what the total weight is! If we use the 10 lb weight (half over and half under), that would be 2-1/2 TONS in 6 months! No wonder my back hurts and I tear up gear!emoEek emoEek

I'm trying to picture 500, 10 lb+, catfish. Just the whiskers from all of them would sink my boat ! That's a huge milestone. Congratulations !
