It is in surprisingly good condition. the only thing wrong that might be wrong would be that some of the tiny fragile nose bones might be gone or broken off?
I really can't tell. It kinda looks bad(old, broken, and dirty)in the pic but it just needs to be cleaned up as far as looks go.
Sounds good. You should try boiling it to cleen it up some, using a brush to romw any loose debris you can. Then tape off the antlers, and spray paint white. mount it to the wall. Good luck.
I read somethin about usin 40% peroxide used for bleachin hair. It's not supposed to damage the skull like bleach. I guess I'll think it over for a little while. Thanks for your input!
yes, use peroxide and not bleach. i would boil it first for a while as spur suggested. get a hot plate and a pot you can throw away, i'd do it outside or in the garage, it might not smell nice.
Boil in baking soda and water. the bugs have done the hard part for you then scrape any other junk off .To bleach it go to a beauty supply store and get volume 40 peroxide and the bleaching powder these women use on there hair.Mix the two together kinda thick brush on and let sit for 24 hrs then use a dry brush to remove .You will be amazed at how white it will be . good luck Ive done hundreds of them .
