The rain held off and Biofisher and I fished from about 6:15 until 9:30 pm tonight. The fishing was really tough early and the crappies didn't want to cooperate. Once the sun was near the horizon and really after it was dark the fish turned on. We had 17 or 18 keepers, which one was it Bio? He took the fish home with him to eat. We caught about the same number of non-keepers. We had a great time of fellowship. The fish were in 2-6 feet of water in stumps and brushpiles and some were even on docks. The wind was out of the North tonight and was 180 degrees from what it was Monday when it was almost directly out of the South. It was very breezy and hard to maneuver the boat for a presentation with 1/32 oz jigs with panfish assassins in my signature shad with chartreuse tail. Even after dark that was what was getting hit even though Biofisher tried a grub with a twister tail hoping for more vibration. Day or night those little assassins are the best bait that I know of. My presentation was a straight pull and with little or no action other than to stop the retrieve from time to time if I felt the bait had risen too high in the water column because of the wind blowing the line. It was a great time of fishing and fellowship with a good freind, thanks for the fun tonight Biofisher!
