Got the chance to fish with Philip Crouchman Wednesday evening. He put a few nice fish in the boat. Biggest topped out at 22 lbs. Caught on light tackle, it was a great battle. Philip originally hails from jolly olde England. Moved stateside (near Atlanta) 3 years ago "for the job." With his fishing roots in England, he is an avid, and very knowledgeable carp angler. He travels here frequently, mainly because Chickamauga is an excellent "swim" for carp fishing. Expect to read more about him and other area carp anglers in Sunday's Times Free Press.

I'll take all the "scepters" I can get. But the truth is, we're simply blessed to live in a place with such wonderful natural resources, including a productive fishery. I'm just doing my best to share what nature provides.
