Ever Get a Patent

Has anyone here ever had to get a patent? What's the best way and what's the cost? My Brother in Law and I have an idea for soft plastic baits and we want to patent it.

I have and I would go find a real good patent lawyer and have him to do it. Not sure on cost of a patent lawyer but you could spend up to $20k if you get CAD drawings and/or stuff like that at a patent company. I haven't made a dime out of mine yet but haven't had time to push it either. PM me with a phone number if you want to know more. Good Luck!

I have one for a design I did at work. It took about 4-5 years for it to come through. I think you can look up the US patent office online and get some info.
