Evinrude hpf pro lower unit oil

Does anyone know what color evinrude hpf pro gear oil should be after a few months of use .Mine was a green color didn't seem to have water though I left it in a jar for a few days just a little worried about the color thanks

Depending on the amount of use, dark green to black in color. If it had water mixed in, it would look like milky coffee.

Addl; Manufacturers add different color dye's to their oil for various vendors. eg; motor mfg 1, uses green, mfg 2 uses blue but, they are the same oil- just different color and perhaps different additives. Also, some different oils will mix- Mercury says that Hi Perf oil will mix ok with premium blend- green vs. light yellow would look light green. Anyway, I think OMC oil is blue.

Thanks I will try a different brand oil and check again in a few weeks
