The day started off strange. The riverpark ramp was closed to everyone except security related boats. Police, TWRA, USCG, etc. Tonight is the parade of lights. So, we launched at the upper ramp behind Chatt State at about 8:30 am</p>
River flow was 52K+ CFS. That's swift!!</p>
Started at CB Robinson bridge and fished various rip rap banks all the way to downtown. FA starts off by losing a good fish. Blames it on me of course! FA continues to catch fish on a green grub. By late morning, He has me down 9 to 1. My 1 was a 3lb drum. FA caught several small SM, some spots, and the first meanmouth I ever saw in the flesh. Beautiful little fish. It looked like a SM at first glance, but it had some dark splotches on it's back that didn't look quite right. Sure enough, it had a tongue patch. I wish now I had taken a picture. Anyhoo, FA is having a blast drilling my eyes out and I'm sure he's mulling over in his mind how he will craft his report.</p>
But, alas, the MadBomber isn't done yet! I switch over to a white/ chartruese 200 bandit and go on a 10 to zip run! Final score, MB 11, FA 9. We took 10 spots home for the table. We quit at 1:30.</p>
