FA/ MB latest adventure 7-31-2006

[Fat Albert]

When a friend tells you we are going to have fun and catch lots of fish in a NEW PLACE.....BEWARE,Beware, beware.... I was so excited that we were going to fish below Nickajack dam and there was current and the fish would be jumping in the boat. Would not even need to bait hook.....WRONG. We started off close to the dam and then moved down stream where the little river runs in the big river. I got a great bass must have been 16" and weighed 4 pounds... Well, not really but since I am posting this he said I had to... Caught the fish on something that looked like a crawfish.. good pull and nice fish.... SB, worms, crawfish thingie. Fished around the inside of the island nothing. bad carma.... He wanted to fish some RIP RAP,,,DUH!!!emoDoh So he found some close by and he was getting desperate I could tell ... So he pulled out the old crank bait and was fishing really fast... time was running out.... Now folks, I would never lie to you... he hooked this little 3 inch fish, you couldn't even tell what kind it was so he said I would not skunk him.... yeahemoWorthy So, he felt better that I had not put the whammie on him.... Then we went up under the dam to see if we could catch a STRIPPER.... none, he did catch a 6 pound drum... haahha so he said let's go home.... SAD AIN'T IT???? However, I do love fishing with him this madbomber person..... personal note.... JTF, he did use the new rod and it performed admiralbly.... He did not catch anything on it.... there is always the next time.... water temp 86 degrees air temp hot as heck.... we did have a good time... and that's what it is all about.... till next time.... I just hope that as I approach retirement I have as good a fishing buddy as you two have in each other.

Good report, my good friend. I'm just glad I managed to keep from getting skunked!! I would never have lived that down!! Oh, BTW, it's Karma!
