Fat A"s Brother came up from Florida to visit and participate in "The World's Longest Yard sale", so we got a late start (8:30). We fished some fairly deep structure w/ c-rigs and big worms for a while and then fished some docks with only 1 hookup. I lost the fish after a few seconds. Al said it was because of my "wimpy" hookset. Of course, I disagree. I do not adhere to the concept of trying to dislocate their jaw when setting the hook.
Anyway, at about 11:15, I told Al that I was smelling a skunk and I did not want that to happen. So, we cranked up and I took us to my pet fish in Soddy Creek. We fished about an hour before giving in to the heat and calling it a day. We did catch 3 bass and a warmouth. Al caught the warmouth on the last cast to tie us up at 2 each.
2 bass on a zoom trick worm, 1 bass & the warmouth on a zoom 6" lizard. No keepers! Did have fun though, as always when you spend time with "The Fat One"
