The LS-2-169 is the Lowrider Dropshot. My son broke his FS 1-71.
Since it had been discontinued , I had the option of replacing it at reduced cost through Falcon's out-of-warranty program.Billy Fields at Falcon Rods suggested the Dropshot. It is a light duty rod rated 1/8 to 3/8 but it has a fast action. The handle length is 7 inches. The 7 footer had a 9 inch handle so there is really only 1 inch difference in the actual blank lengths. This rod is perfect for spots or creek bassing with light lures. It is made in America.I may get another one for myself.I own three other Falcons. They are top-notch in componets, construction, performance, and customer service. The Dropshot has a contoured cork grip with a cork insert on the reel seat. It looks good and is very light. Can you tell that I like it yet?
