I have read a couple of articles here lately on falconry and was wondering is there anyone on here that hunts with hawks or knows someone who does that I could be put in contact with and or see this type of hunting done first hand?? Thanks.

There is a fellow who gets on here from time to time, he hunts with a bird, the last time he ws on here he lost his bird but finally found it, i haven't heard from him since, maybe someone will remember his name or he may see your post and get on here again.

I think Doug Markum was talking to someone about this on his radio show back sometime ago He is on 99.7 fm saturday morning . You may not be able to recieve the show but you could call his show and ask him for the info. He is with the TWRA and is very helpful. The number for his show is 615/737/9986 0500till0700 central time

Deadeye is a falconer and can share with you about it, the process of becoming one. It's not for the faint of heart. You don't just go out and buy a Hawk/falcon and go huntin'. It take a few years to get there, but he can share with you all about it. Be patient though. He's not necessarily in the business of helping others get into it, it's just something he personally does. Great guy and will warm up to sharing with you how to do so. Do a search for falconry report at the top of the page.
