Fall Crappie Tournament

I have started a fall crappie tournament on lake Chickamauga. The date of the tournament is Oct,18,2008. Registration is 5 am til 5:45 am at Wolftever boat ramp. Launch is at 6am and Weigh in is at 12 noon. entry fee is $25.00 per boat. 100% pay out. 60% to first, 30% to second And 10% to third. limit is 20 fish per boat. That is if there are 2 people in the boat.

i was just wondering if we had to put in at wt or we could put in somewhere else the reason im asking i fish a differnt area of the lake and if its foggy and it usally is this time of year i would just be spinning my wheels .

yeah the launch and weigh in are at wt. but if you want you can register there and then put in somewhere else. but you would have to be back there at noon for the weigh in

Can you use live bait or just artificial, also can we keep them after the tournament or do we have to release them. Yum Yum.

dustman I am letting people use whatever they prefer to catch crappie. But i was wanting everyone to release the fish after they are weighed in. I know they taste great, i myself love to eat them. But i everyone to take home what they catch because there are going to be alot of people there and if everyone took their fish home it would be alot of crappie gone at once out of the lake. But hey you can always go back the next day and catch some to eat...

I was up this morning at 6am and it is dark as all get out till around 7:15am. Am I wrong about the time or does the time change before Saturday morning? Makes me nervious to run a boat in the dark. I'm scared of the dark! emoLaugh

no it starts at 6. it will still be dark but i did it like that because the crappie start biting good right before sun up.
