FAT ALBERTS WAREHOUSE!!!!!!!

Went out this morning to get a few more things for tomorrows Cracker fest.
I received a call from Al letting me know we needed to meet in order to get the rod which Al made for the Crackerfest ( more on this later).
After giving me directions to his (ware) house and informing me even Ray Charles could find it, I arrived. Went and knocked on the door and Brother AL told me to come in. LOL........ I had seen pictures in a prior post of the Trophy Room and heard about all his tackle but seeing is believing!
There is no doubt Al has more rods , reels and tackle than the local Wal-mart and he said he had another room with even more stuff.

I will also say, I saw some actual tackle boxes but his Wal-Mart bags were present and loaded as well!!
After some good fellowship with a great guy and admiring all his work. I picked up the Kids rod which Al made especially for this event. What a master piece. Spun in Blue and Gold with in scripted " 2ND ANNUAL CRACKERFEST....BY AL SLATER" It will make my daughter a great rod.........emoCool oh, I mean it will make a great rod for a very lucky child which picks it tomorrow at the Crackerfest. Thanks WAREHOUSE AL for the beautiful work. It will make a Childs day and should help and produce many more memories in the future.

Well DAVO!!!! Your name did get brought up and Mr. Al did say he had a house, car port , spare bed room and den full of stuff but it still wouldn't compair to the collection that Ol DAVO has just in his boat and on his flippin deckemoPoke

I'm the one that enjoyed the visit....... Mr. Al!!
As for all the other conversations and your quest to catch DAVO.............
If you continue building rods and build ONE rod for yourself out of every 20 you build for others, You may catch DAVO after you Umpire a Divisional game in the Spring of 2054!!!!!!!! But that is only if DAVO DOESN'T PURCHASE ANY MORE RODS FROM NOW TO THEN!!!!!

By the way ............. I have reverted back to some of the old tricks and I have proven the " Theory of Pave-logs dog (SP?) actually works on a 4 year old.

I would show her all the items that I have had donated or have bought and would ask her which one she would like the most. Each time she picked the CUSTOM AL SLATER SPECIAL, I would give her ice-cream!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say I know what she will pick tomorrow if she gets a chanceemoLaugh emoLaugh Being 4 years old is heck!
