FIG Southern Bistro in Cleveland is pretty good.

I almost passed them by because their name sounded too preppy but they're just plain folks serving good food.</p>

"FIG" stands for "Food is Good" not some Mediterranean themed restaurant as I had imagined. I've been recommending it to some of my older friends because they have a daily half price offer for seniors.</p>

The owner is the chef and I think I talked him into offering his grilled salmon without the maple sauce.

They are directly behind the Golden Corral in Cleveland. Paul Huff exit and go till you see Golden Corral and take the street just past Golden Corral.</p>

Wife and I went there a few weeks ago. Neither one of us were all that impressed with the place.

The food was good when I went but as I had heard, and then expirianced, the service was awful. We talked to the owner at length when he made a visit to our table about the issue and said I feared it would hold them back until they could get a handle on it. The have continued to struggle with the issue for some reason.

It seems like it's a tough place to keep a restaurant alive. Hopefully they get there server issues worked out and everything works out for them
