I finally got my new shad tank put together. I will post some pictures if there is any interest. I took a 35 gallon drum with a bilge pump and a piece of PVC pipe for the filter. I just have to hook up a lighter plug and it should be good to go.

Id like to see it .. I found 2 polished stainless steel tanks from a test welding project from a medical company at work they are about 30 gallon or so . have rounded corners , they where gonna toss them , and I snagged them. gonna build insulated box around them to use for bait tank
Here is a few pics, they are 20x20x 12 wide the scale filter is another piece of stainless steel from another customer test project that I grabbed that was gonna be tossed.
I may be convinced in parting with one of the tanks, trade ? barter? beg ? emoLaugh But I only have one filter

Insulation is definitely the key. No matter how good the aeration or filtration the shad won't last 10 minutes on a hot day if the water gets too warm.

I built a bait tank, last year, out of a large cooler that I bought at an estate sale for $4.00. I just use an air conditioner filter that you can buy at Walmart, and I have kept threadfin shad alive all day lots of times and even overnight once. If you want me to show you or even help you with yours let me know.
