Yep, that's right. The boat is finally here and in our possession. emoDance We picked it up Saturday, broke it in Monday, and played with it all day yesterday. We absolutely wore ourselves out both days and loved every minute of it. There are still a few things that need to be done to it but nothing to stop us from taking it out to get better acquainted.

I have always been cautious/scared to use anyone else's equipment because of my lack of experience. But I had no problem getting into my own and taking off. It was a great feeling to know that it could be such a natural thing.
We are extremely happy and satisfied with our Triton TR 21X HP. We still have so much to learn, and we're looking forward to many great days on the water.

When I see this boat I am deeply humbled by the memories of the heartaches and the joys that God allowed me to experience that have led me right into it. My tournament fishing began as a promise I made to my dad. Today will be the two year anniversay of the car accident that took his life. I was told all weekend by several people that dad would be proud of my accomplishments and would have loved to ride in the boat with me. He was there in my heart as he always has been and will be. I guess for just a moment I would love to see that smile of approval.

I hope each and every one of you have a blessed day. Take care, happy fishing, and God bless!!!

Glad to hear it!!! See ya on the water! Oh and if you ever win another boat, you can give me that one!!emoBigsmile

Congrats on the new ride Sunshine! Don't know the whole story behind your fishing, but it sounds like you made a promise to dad and you are keeping it. So glad you are getting to enjoy the new rig and learn all about it. there is nothing quite like the learning curve that goes with a new ride.

Just be careful and take your time in it and enjoy it. </p>

I am sure Dad is proud of you and is watching with a great big smile on his face! It is the pleasure that we all look for is to see the smile of approval and I think you have that!  Now go catch some fish and ride with the wind!!!

Due to the fact that I sometimes am outwitted by this stinkin' machine that allows us to share this info, it will be tonight before the pics are posted. Largemouth will have to do that. In other words, I ain't so great with the computer. It may be late when he gets it posted, so check back in the a.m.

It is midnight blue with white stripe/hull, and marroon trim. Nice sparkle in the sun.

Congratulations Sunshine !!! Overcoming obstacles to fulfill a promise is a great accomplishmernt and well worth celebrating. Enjoy the moment, enjoy the boat, and I hope you fill the livewell !! emoSmile

That's great to hear. There isn't a day that doesn't pass where I don't worry about my Dad. He's 57 years old, still working everyday, and has to help take care of his two grandkids........my neice and nephew. He and I don't fish nearly as much as we used to, and we haven't been hunting together in 4-5 years.

I know that he's out there with you each time, just as my Dad is out there with me in spirit. :) Enjoy the time on it and be safe.

Thanks folks for your support and kind words. It is certainly helping make this day easier than expected.

Yes, we did get the 225 ProXS and we love it. We have a lot to learn about it, but I guess hands on is the best way. I drove my car for the first time in several days to go to lunch today. When I got there I told Don that I liked driving the boat a lot better than driving my car now. He thought that was pretty funny coming from someone who has been so apprehensive about becoming a boater.

I can truly say that we are very happy and it seems that everything has fallen into place for us. Once we finish the few things left to do to it, it will be ready for some fishing.
